Pneumatic CF8 ball valves

Introduction.

The closing member of Pneumatic CF8 ball valve rotates around the center line of the valve body, so as to achieve the purpose of cutting off, distributing and changing the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline.

Working principle

1. Process of opening
(1) In the closed position, the ball is pressed against the valve seat by the mechanical pressure of the valve stem;
(2) When the pneumatic actuator is turned counterclockwise, the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, and the angular plane at the bottom makes the ball disengage from the valve seat;
(3) The valve stem continues to lift and interacts with the guide pin in the helical groove of the valve stem, causing the ball to start rotating without friction;
(4) Until it reaches the fully open position, the valve stem is raised to the limit position, and the ball rotates to the fully open position;

2. Closing process
(1) When closing, the valve stem starts to descend and the ball leaves the valve seat to start rotating;
(2) The valve stem is acted by the guide pin embedded in the spiral groove on it, so that the valve stem and the ball rotate 90° at the same time;
(3) When it is about to close, the ball has rotated 90° without contact with the valve seat;
(4) In the last few turns of the handwheel, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges against the ball to press it tightly against the valve seat to achieve a complete seal;

Features

1.    Symmetrical scotch yoke mechanism with more balanced torque curve;

2.    Robust trunnion mounted valve body according to ISO17292 and API6D;

3.    Solid forging stem after quenching and tempering heat treatment, making hardness HB220 ~ 250;

4.    The selection of valve packing includes braided flexible graphite seal or PTFE seals to achieve reliable tightness in certain lubrication;

5.  According to different working conditions, soft seat, metal to metal and fireproof seat can be used for major seat structure;

6.  Auxiliary sealing structure can be set at the valve seat. A grease filling valve is added to the valve seat and the stem to temporarily seal in an emergency.

7. Stem can be lengthened according to the need to be buried in the ground.
